Panic attacks are often so incredibly intense that people describe them as the worst moment of their entire lives. A person may experience it for many hours. It is common for some people to not leave their homes in fear it will happen again. An attack can be brought on from an extreme event like a death in the family or something else. The most important thing is that if panic attacks become disabling to your lifestyle to where you cannot leave the home you must seek help through a physician.
